D.I.S.C. Personality Insights Training – Human Behavior Specialist
As a certified D.I.S.C. trainer, Michelle uses this personal assessment tool to help people from all backgrounds better understand themselves and adapt their behaviors to others. Michelle facilitates this tool through active participation of her audience, then uses an online assessment inventory of questions which produces a detailed report on an individual’s personality and behaviors. Michelle’s online assessments range from assessments of children, teens, adults, to a highly detailed adult leadership assessment. With this information, Michelle has the capability to strategize a personalized plan of action to improve an individual’s work productivity and communication skills. When a team or couple takes the assessments as individuals, Michelle has the capability to cross-analyze the combined results to help the team or couple perform better as a cohesive unit.
Michelle coaches business leaders, educators, entrepreneurs and individuals from around the world, in how to break through the mental barriers of negative self-talk, freeing themselves to accomplish any goal they put their mind to. When her clients find themselves trapped in emotional or physical situations they feel helpless to change, Michelle can teach them how redefine success when life doesn’t go according to plan.
Michelle analyzes and then identifies which professional and personal life aspects are out of balance and creates a comprehensive plan of action to bring these details back into harmony. She challenges her clients to break the cycle of fear and apprehension, by mastering their thoughts, emotions and actions. Michelle will guide you to find that perfect balance of striving to be better, while still living in and loving the present.

“I’m not quite sure how she does it, but Michelle Mras has a peculiar ability: she is actually two people. She is either the best speaker you’ve ever heard, or she’s the best speaker you’ve never heard.
She has an irresistible presence and she commands your attention and interest like a tractor beam.
Few people can elicit the sense of togetherness and empowerment that she does. Michelle is an exemplar of all things the world could and should be!” – David Dixon
Eat, Drink & Be Mary: A Glimpse into a Life Well Lived (Paperback & Digital)
by Michelle Mras (Author), Tony Mras (Author and Father-in-Law)
She wasn’t any ordinary woman; Mary was a magnetic force who lived life with an enthusiasm rarely seen in someone facing such daunting odds. A fabulous wife, mother, sister, daughter and teacher to all, Mary’s life was a lesson on how to choose joy in every circumstance.
Mary Mras was my mother-in-law and a woman everyone would benefit from knowing, had cancer not cut her time short.
Eat, Drink and Be Mary is the story of my chance exchange with Mary that eventually led me to her son, my husband, and the impact she had on my life as my mentor and friend. It wasn’t until years later, after her death and a dramatic occurrence in my life, that I realized the power of Mary’s words.
Though she never knew fame or even the limelight, Mary lived a life worthy of sharing with others. Through the pages, Mary will speak to readers as she once spoke to me: with conviction, hope and honestly.
Eat, Drink and Be Mary shares her quips and insights, her “Mary-isms.” Her words and wisdom will transform the reader’s mindset and inspire them to seek the truth about who they really want to be in life. Intimate tales of Mary’s courage during her battle with Leukemia are also shared in behind-the-scene stories from her husband Tony.
Come meet a woman unlike any other and bask in her timeless wisdom, while you Eat, Drink and Be Mary!
Colorado Springs Women Helping Women Event
... The session started with a talk by Michelle Mras, an inspirational speaker, success coach and corporate trainer.
"It's really important to know that there are other women that have been through similar things and are able to help support them to either look for a job or advance in their careers," said Julie Krow, the county's DHS executive director.
Like Valenzuela, Chelsea Adams is a single mother of two boys looking for a fresh start. After a couple of hours talking to vendors and browsing through racks of clothes, she landed an interview to be a call-taker for a printing company.
She felt confident that she'd land the job, saying the boost she received at the Wednesday event will help.
"It's going to totally turn me around."
Have a plan (“if you don’t have a plan, you are just wandering”) Eat dessert first (“all the wonderful things in life”)
Avoid ruts (“the difference between a rut and a grave are the dimensions that you build it”)
My favorites quote that speaks to her unique perspective:
“The glass in not half-full; it’s refillable.”
Over the course of 19+ minutes you will be brought upon a life-long journey and be standing right next to Michelle during happy times and heart-wrenching moments as she shares life and leadership lessons from her amazing mother-in-law Mary (hence the name of the talk and this title). Michelle (and TEDx Colorado Springs) – thank you for sharing this story. If Michelle’s story resonates with you, then please leave a comment on the YouTube Page – more comments increases Michelle’s possibility of getting selected for national-level TED Talks.
For VOCL listeners / readers – have you been fortunate enough to have a Mary in your life? If so, please let me know!
